We make the departure from M’hamid at about 14:00 by four wheel vehicle. The journey will last approximately 2 hours; after about one hour, we make a stop at the sacred oasis for stretching legs and taking beautiful pictures. We continue our joy ride to arrive at the large dunes. After a short break at the camp, we head toward the largest dunes for witnessing the enjoyable sunset. As soon as the sun disappears, we come back to our camp for unforgettable evening where will be tea, traditional music around the fire circle, and then a delicious dinner is served to call off the night.
The next morning, we get up early to witness the sunrise from the top( you will be told the exact time of the sunrise). As soon as the sun spreads its warm lights, we have our breakfast and then taking the road back with a brief stop at the water well for pictures.

My boyfriend and I were blown away by our 2-day trip to Erg Chigaga.
A friend of us who took a trip with Mhamid Excursion Berber recommended us to contact Ismail for our dream excursion to the Sahara. Ismail has been extremely helpful from the first contact we had with him and he provided us all the information we needed to get to the meeting point. From there, Ismail and his friendly team took care of everything. We felt safe and pampered at all the time. We drove to Erg Chigaga and stopped a few times on the way to learn more about the desert. Once we arrived at the camp, we went on a private camel ride to watch the sunset. Then we had an delicious dinner, a great talk with Ismail and the staff on site, a quick shower and a confortable night in our tent. We decided to wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise and the camels waking up as well. We left after breakfast. I personally had the chance to travel a lot over the past decade, the Sahara has always been a dream for me and I couldn’t had a better experience than the one I had thanks to Ismail. We will keep those memories all our life and we hope to go back one day… with Mhamid Excursion Berber of course. I highly recommend his services!!
